Sesh Ghum

This was a story of Kanti Lakra, who died in Hazaribag sometime in August 2013. She couldn't find a resting place for more than three days. Her fault she had converted to Christianity along with her husband. Officials of the Hindu burning ghat refused to cremate her as she wasn't a Hindu in Death. Three churches also refused her burial space because she wasn't a Christian by birth. Neighbours didn't allow the same at her own garden as it housed a temple. The ordeal finally concluded when police managed to bury her on a government plot. This news was published in TOI on August 15.
